Hidden Shadows

Experimenting the qualities light will have when shined into every individual tube.and how it will affect its environment or the subject. I started off by using christmas lights as the light source.

Spiral lights from the refraction and reflection of the materiality of the tubes started to form spiral shapes on the wall these shapes had a shadow of the colour of the tube also shined onto the wall.

When a subject was introduced in-between the wall, the spirals got absorbed by the subject and the tubes coloured shadows were reflected on the wall. The tubes colours that were reflected started to form other colours because they were primary colours. A video of this being performed can be seen below

Introducing an object inbetween the walls causing the colours of the tube to become the shadows of the object. These colours can be seen as a blur taking the shape of the object (hand) as it is in motion.

Distance affecting the size and shape of coloured shadows of the object infront of tubes.

The sharpeness and Quality of lights created rely soly on the distance of the

device to the wall it shines on.In the previous images, the spirals created by

the tube was larger than spirals in the image below this is because the device

has been pushed closer to the wall.
